Guarana Ginseng Racing eV began as a group of friends who transformed a simple passion into a vibrant, energetic, and constantly evolving project. Born from the pleasure of sharing free time and a taste for a challenge, the team is now an increasingly recognized force in the cycling scene between Munich and Augsburg. Young, colorful, and expressive, they bring the energy of those who come from art, skateboarding, and BMX to cycling, blending it with the speed of the asphalt.
How did your team/project come about?
It all started spontaneously: a WhatsApp group of friends who would meet up to ride together. From those outings, our first goal was born: participating in the RadRace120. The race went well, giving us a huge boost, and we decided to continue competing. At the end of the season, the next step came: founding an official club to obtain licenses and race in a more structured way. In 2025, we competed, trained, sweated, and got back up after falls and difficult moments, always supporting each other. It’s only been a year, but it feels like much longer: we’ve participated in numerous events, our Instagram profile is growing rapidly, and today we have almost 35 members. Our name is circulating more and more frequently in the Munich and Augsburg cycling community. The enthusiasm is growing. The community is growing. And this is just the beginning.
What are the values and mission of your team/project?
At the heart of Guarana Ginseng Racing eV is a simple idea: to feel good together. We’re first and foremost a group of friends united by the desire to ride, have fun, compete when the opportunity arises, and enjoy life when the clock doesn’t count. We travel to training camps together, race together, and train together. And when we’re not in the saddle… we celebrate, laugh, and enjoy a beer. We’re not just a cycling team: we also organize a weekly community run, which is very popular in the Augusta cycling scene. Our goal? To stay authentic, keep having fun, push ourselves when necessary, and see where this adventure takes us. With an increasingly strong social media presence, we want to organize ourselves better, experiment, and transform our energy into something that leaves its mark.
How do you plan to influence the cycling community?
We come to cycling with a diverse background: art, skateboarding, BMX, and urban culture. We’re young, bold, recognizable, and expressive. Some would even say “a little wild.” And it’s precisely this nature that brings freshness to a sport often perceived as rigid and traditional. Cycling today is experiencing significant growth. We don’t just want to be a part of it: we want to help transform it. We believe you can ride hard, train hard, and at the same time have fun, laugh, and not take yourself too seriously. We bring energy, creativity, and a fresh attitude. We want to show that those who ride in Lycra and fly at 50 km/h can be cool. And we’re proving it: race after race, kilometer after kilometer.
What was the inspiration behind your kit’s design? Is there a particular story behind it?
Our kit reflects who we are: young, irreverent, and vibrant. We want our look to speak for itself, to convey personality and authenticity, with that touch of bold creativity that sets us apart. Our uniform is a manifesto: bold colors, bold character, an identity that doesn’t go unnoticed. At every event or race, we receive compliments, curiosity, and appreciation. Our outfit attracts attention and perfectly captures who we are: a team that brings color to cycling, literally.
Guarana Ginseng Racing eV is a team born from friendship and grown with passion, with a constant desire to innovate.
